1. Introducing RocketWebSM

RocketWebSM provides Internet access for registered users to a variety of rocket engine propulsion analysis computer codes.
  • Along with code access, RocketWebSM refers users requiring assistance to the expert database.
  • RocketWebSM provides a simple funding channel between users and consultants by contracting with each.  Contracting with RocketWebSM instead of with individual users saves consultants time and energy, allowing increased time to focus on engineering.
  • RocketWebSM provides a database of propulsion experts from which users can select the best person for a given task.
  • Experts specializing in other analyses are encouraged to participate in RocketWebSM's consulting service and will be included in the database.
RocketWebSM was developed under an Air Force SBIR with the expressed support of Larry Quinn, Chairman of JANNAF.

2. Procedures

  • The RocketWebSM consultant database includes each expert's specialty, hourly fee, a brief rsum, and contact information.  Users review the list, contact experts to discuss specific problems, and determine the level of effort required to complete the task.
  • The user logs on to RocketWebSM and requests a consultation from the chosen expert, defining the nature of the problem and allocating sufficient funds to complete the task.  Tasks will be firm fixed price level of effort, e.g., 20 hours at $X/hour.
  • After verifying that sufficient funds have been allocated, RocketWebSM authorizes the expert to perform the task.  The expert is given access through RocketWebSM, to particular runs/data selected by the user, and is allowed to execute operations according to user permissions.

3. Payment

Upon verification of completion of effort, RocketWebSM pays the consultant within 30 days.  Large efforts can be paid monthly.

4. Accessibility

RocketWebSM allows you to perform and document your effort directly over the Internet.  With our unique expert interface, you have access to input and output files, data libraries, plot files, and, with customer permission, executables--all from the convenience of your own computer.

5. Requirements

To become a RocketWebSM expert provide:
  • ●  A resume
  • ●  At least three references
  • ●  A list of codes with which you are proficient, RocketWebSM or otherwise
  • ●  A signed RocketWebSM Expert Consultation Agreement
  • ●  The ability to respond quickly to RocketWebSM referrals
  • ●  The ability to complete referred work in a timely manner
Experts are subject to RocketWebSM approval before being included in the service.
